The welds of large-diameter flanges must undergo ultrasonic or radiographic testing. The surface of the large-diameter flange should not have cracks or other defects that reduce the connection or strength of the flange. When the working pressure of a large flange with a long diameter is equal to or greater than 0.8 times the maximum allowable working pressure specified in the standard, the weld seam between the large-diameter flange and the circular pipe must undergo 90% X-ray inspection.
Reduce wear and tear on large-diameter flanges:
1. Firstly, a well-designed mechanical structure can help us reduce pressure and wear between flange surfaces;
2. In addition, the material and heat treatment process of the flange also affect the overall quality of the flange;
