API 5L Welded Line Pipe

API 5L welded line pipe is a special steel pipe produced in accordance with API 5L standard issued by the American Petroleum Institute. It is mainly applied to long-distance transportation scenarios of petroleum, natural gas and other energy media, and can also be used in water and partial chemical fluid transportation projects, serving as a core component of energy transmission pipeline networks. The product is divided into two quality levels, PSL1 and PSL2, covering multiple steel grades from A25, A, B to X42, X52, X60, X65 and X70, meeting the requirements of different transportation pressures and working conditions.

The product is manufactured with mature processes such as Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW). Made of high-quality low-carbon micro-alloy steel, it adopts thermo-mechanical control process to optimize grain structure, ensuring the pipe has both high strength and good toughness. The outer diameter covers conventional industrial specifications, the wall thickness adapts to different pressure levels, and the pipe ends can be processed into plain ends, beveled ends and other forms to facilitate on-site welding and connection.

Strict quality control is implemented throughout the production process. From raw material chemical composition inspection, forming precision control to weld non-destructive testing, hydrostatic test and low-temperature impact performance test, all procedures comply with API 5L standard requirements. PSL1 grade is suitable for conventional pressure and normal temperature non-corrosive environments, while PSL2 grade enhances toughness and hydrogen-induced cracking resistance, adapting to complex working conditions with high pressure, low temperature and a small amount of corrosive media. With high dimensional accuracy, stable weld performance and strong service safety, the product is widely used in projects such as onshore oil and gas gathering and transportation, urban gas main pipelines, oilfield internal gathering and transportation, and industrial fluid transportation, fitting the construction of various onshore and shallow sea energy transmission projects.
